  • C- standard mild steel, softer and easier to work than high tensile B- heavy grade mild steel, longest term use L- light mild steel, temporary / wall top/ top net of deer fence Sizes - 2nd number in code (the 80 in 8/80/15) gives the overall heigh in cm. Standard net height is 80 cm, 65cm is more suitable for wall top or specially low garden fences The 1st number in the code (the 8 in 8/80/15) gives the number of horizontal wires in a net. Standard net has 8 horizontal wires. The 3rd number in the code (the 15 in 8/80/15) gives the distance between each vertical wire - so the width of the boxes - in cm. standard net has 15cm wide boxes. Most commonly used mild steel net is C8/80/15

  • Our galvanised High Tensile netting allows you to use fewer stobs and will not bag on impact, the most commonly used size is HT8/80/15. High Tensile is harder to work than mild steel and requires specialist fencing tools for pulling. The 1st number in the code (the 8 in 8/80/15) gives the number of horizontal wires in a net. The 2nd number in the code (the 80 in 8/80/15) gives the overall height in cm of the net. The 3rd number in the code (the 15 in 8/80/15) give the distance between each vertical wire - so the width of the boxes - in cm. standard net has 15cm wide boxes. 53cm high net is commonly used as wall top or for above dykes, occasionally for repairs or to heighten existing fences

 

Wire codes explained, example HT8/80/15
HT - type of net eg High Tensile, 8 - number of horizontal line wires (please note unevenly spaced, smaller gaps at bottom), 80 - overall height of net in cm, 15 - width of each box in cm.
L - light, C- standard mild steel, B- heavy grade mild steel

Delivery to Argyll

Your quote will include a delivery charge unless we know that you will be collecting.
